A bill to prohibit this state from entering into certain confidentiality or nondisclosure agreements.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 1. (1) As used in this act, "state officer" means an individual who holds an elective or appointive office of this state.

(2) Except as otherwise required by law, this state shall not enter into, amend, extend, or renew a confidentiality or nondisclosure agreement with a state officer.
