SENATE BILL NO. 1027
A bill to create a certain fund for the provision of funds to licensed adult day-care facilities; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and entities.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 1. This act may be cited as the "licensed adult day-care fund act".
Sec. 3. (1) The licensed adult day-care fund is created in the state treasury.
(2) The state treasurer shall deposit money and other assets received from any source in the fund. The state treasurer shall direct the investment of money in the fund and credit interest and earnings from the investments to the fund. Money in the fund at the close of the fiscal year does not lapse to the general fund.
(3) The department of treasury is the administrator of the fund for audits of the fund.
(4) The department of treasury shall expend money from the fund on appropriation only to provide funds to licensed adult day-care facilities licensed under the adult day-care facility licensing act for use by those facilities on administrative and operation costs.
(5) As used in this section, "fund" means the licensed adult day-care fund created under subsection (1).
Enacting section 1. This act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 102nd Legislature are enacted into law:
(a) Senate Bill No. 1025.
(b) Senate Bill No. 1026.
