A bill to amend 1936 (Ex Sess) PA 1, entitled “Michigan employment security act,” by amending section 62 (MCL 421.62), as amended by 2024 PA 238.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Labor.

Senate Bill No. 701, entitled

A bill to amend 1976 PA 331, entitled “Michigan consumer protection act,” by amending section 3 (MCL 445.903), as amended by 2022 PA 152.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Finance, Insurance, and Consumer Protection.

 

 

Senators Anthony and Cavanagh introduced

Senate Bill No. 702, entitled

A bill to limit interest and charges on medical debt; to limit actions taken to collect medical debt; to limit the sale of medical debt; to require information to be provided regarding medical debt; and to provide remedies.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Finance, Insurance, and Consumer Protection.

 

 

House Bill No. 4073, entitled

A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” by amending section 1602 (MCL 324.1602), as added by 1995 PA 60, and by adding section 1507.

The House of Representatives has passed the bill and ordered that it be given immediate effect.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Civil Rights, Judiciary, and Public Safety.

House Bill No. 4421, entitled

A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” (MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 1506.

The House of Representatives has passed the bill and ordered that it be given immediate effect.

A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled “Revised judicature act of 1961,” by amending section 8031 (MCL 600.8031), as amended by 2017 PA 101.
